It allows the buyer to pretty much build their own catback (all that's needed is their muffler of choice). Mandrel bends instead of crappy muffler shop crush bends, and it's stainless as opposed to (un)coated steel, which definitely helps if you live in rust-prone areas.

Does the TRD muffler bolt up and work without mods on that JIC pipe? Or is that just for the pics?
