I had the JBL speaker system also. Trust me, you're going to want to change those front speakers. Leave the rear speakers, they're only necessary for a bit of rear fill, if at all. You'll likely need an external amp also, since even the stock JBL system puts out more power than a head unit.

If I were you I'd save the money and loose the screen. Too excessive in my opinion. Do you really have a reason for one?

I replaced my stereo headunit too, and got a Kenwood unit:

For around $100 it does everything I want. Not only did it improve the CD and FM/AM quality noticeably, it has a USB port for my iPod, an Auxiliary input for anything else, and is compatible with my satellite radio.

I've never really understood the reason behind the screen. Why do you need a DVD player in your dash? Are you going to watch movies while your driving?

Just seems ridiculous overkill to me. Spend 1/4th that and you can still get all the audio quality you want.

Just my 2 cents.
