Lowering springs.. need input!

The drop is not as much with the i4 (4 cylinder engine) since it is lighter as compared to the V6.

I just got my TEIN S.Tech springs installed with KYBs this sunday. At first i was disappointed because my ride felt soft-bouncy however after driving about 30-40 miles or so it seems the ride settled a bit more. Now its firm but yet closely resembling stock noise and smoothness on a decently paved road. On roads with cracks and all that, you'll notice the difference.

Do note that I also got my TRD sway bar installed back in. I'm loving it.

What type of bulbs are u running in your foglights Toy1mzfe??? I like how they almost match the corners/signals.. I guess the same question goes for you, camryonbronze...

Thanks!

I got some yellow tint vinyl on my fogs with stock bulbs. Im sure Camryonbronze have bulbs.

Yep, I had yellow 9006 bulbs from Nokya and Luminics. The Nokya ones seemed to last longer. I also had tint film on the fog lights, but not yellow film.

How much less? I just ordered tiens and I have a 4. I searched and most of the posts I found said the drop difference was minimal.

Don't mean to thread jack... but I just talked to a guy who works for Toyota, and said he gets TRD springs for just over $200. He said he cuts them to make the drop lower, and since the TRD spring is so strong it actually holds up pretty nice.

Needless to say, he has it done on his car and its been lowered for as long as I can remember, probably around 2 or 3 years with no problem. (Corolla XRS)

He has them on his stock struts.

What do you guys think? Would this be safe for our cars?

I<d have to agree with toy1mzfe, any spring would be fine ( to a certain extent) with something other than stock struts. I drove around with stock struts and canuck motorsport springs and it was uncivilized: low low low low and hard and bouncy and not nice. I<ve now got springtech struts and im feeling it alot better. smooth and firm but not hard and butt-massage-like

Coming from myself, who ripped out his suspension & changed it three times:

1. lowering springs (Goldline F&R) with stock struts
2. lowering springs (Goldine F&R) with Tokico struts
3. lowering springs (Goldline Front & Eibach Rear...tried to acheieve more drop in the rear) with Tokico struts & RSB

Just put it all in at once! Springs & Shocks Aftermarket
or/and
Just get coilovers and make yourself happy knowing you can adjust the hight....mainly to go lowerrrrr
