The only thing good about that 4 cylinder engine is the fact that it came from the Scion TC.

Its a pretty good difference, the V6 isn't that much faster, id rather take the money spent on getting the V6 and make the I4 faster.

Ive got both a V6 and I4 Solara btw

yea i feel the same way idk for some reason the v6 is kinda silent but yet smooth and the 4 is like more louder.

^^

Ain't that the truth!!!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmhmmmmmmmmmmm.

----------------------

About the two engine options in the Solara, coming from a guy who never drove the V6, I can tell you that the 4 cylinder is way underpowered for a 3000+ lb car.

The good thing is that there are turbo kits from the Scion TC that can be modified to fit onto the 2AZ, and there are other sweet, sweet engine mods for the 2AZ.

The 3MZ uses timing belt, while the 2AZ uses timing chain, when my dad heard me say that, he was like "wtf", and I was like:

i have to disagree here
the v6 is def much faster imo and the difference in price from the v6 to i4 is so much less than trying to get the i4 to be as fast as the v6

My parents' Camry has the same paint option as your Gen II, it really does look nice when its clean and sun is shining on it.
