I think it's going to look like a GT car. What color are you going to go with? I'd drive it :D!
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Nice! I think there was a pic posted here that was a Turbo-intercooled V6 from Hawaii. It had the same setup you're gonna have. Even the wing.

I'm trying to decide if I like the wing or not. Maybe once its painted I can make a decision....are you molding the kit to the car? I think it will look slick.

I'm feeling happy with the progress, I love the GT car look.
What's cool is that the shop fixed my doors that had some pretty bad damage for real cheap (driver's side-rebar rubbed and put ripples, pass-scraped a stucco pole).
I'm going to repaint it the black sand pearl.
:D

The wing is different, I will have to get used to it too. I guess it's because I've never seen it on a Solara. I think it will look better when it's painted.
I was told that due to the quality of the kit, it had to be molded.

how much for this job? and also, where did you get your side skirts from? i took my BW kit to my friend at Maaco and he said that it would be about $1400 alone to refabricate my side skirts in order to fit them to the car. he also gave me the option of whether or not i wanted to make the kit "seamless" (molding kit to car body), so i hope you're not paying extra to have the kit molded.

yea, the kit will look nice on your ride. I like the fact that it's molded on. Theres good point and bad points to molding a kit. Good point, no lines, looks coo. Bad point...what if you wanna change parts of your kit..your gonna be SOL.....regardless...it looks like thier doing a good job. Not too sure about the wing, had it on my 92 camry..stupid thing kept shaking. haha..

It's costed me $2800 so far, but I think I'll be hitting $3200. I also had to fix some damage on the hood and both doors. I had no choice on molding the whole kit. I was told that due to the poor quality of the kit that they would have to mold it. I paid $600 for the kit. The side skirts (which I had to replace because the first set I got wouldn't work) cost me $600 alone to mold. I think I'm getting a pretty good deal, since I really don't care for the TRD or R34 kit there isn't much else out there. I pretty happy with the progress so far, except for the length of time which has been about 2 months now.
I really like the wing, I hope it doesn't shake. It's probably because of the size.

Man, I want my car back! :(
But, I know it will be worth the time in the end! :P

It looks pretty good so far but the body shop was full of crap when they say that it HAD to be molded in. They probably didn't want to put the time in to making it fit right.

When I put mine on the front fit well but the rear piece was horrendous. When we hung it on the car it stuck out about 6-8 inches on both sides. I thought maybe I screwed up when I ordered and got the widebody kit. But then I remembered that NO SUCH THING EXISTED and that what I really had was a horribly molded piece of fiberglass. Long story short about 1/3rd of the fiberglass came out to make the kit fit right.

It's possible, But it ain't easy and it ain't cheap. But all you need to do is go to a big car show to realize that ANYTHING is possible.

Now that the bodykit is almost on, I need to split the exhaust soon. If you notice my TRD exhuast doesn't quite reach the end of the bumper. I know before too long it will start charring the paint.

Where's a good shop to get the dual exhaust done to complement the kit? Any ideas on cost? I've been pouring so much money to doing this kit, I just wanted to know about how much I need to save to do this. Also, where's a good shop, any recommendations? So I would need a y-pipe, custom mandrel bent piping, 2 mufflers (preferrably dual tipped), and maybe a high flow cat? I don't think I'll be getting headers anytime soon, so would it be fine to just work from the cat back and keep the same size pipes? Would there be any trimming of the spare tire well needed?

Thanks...
