Your car has the sport struts, they are made by bilstein.

Copied directly from the 2005 Solara brochure.

Suspension MacPherson strut front suspension with gas-filled shock absorbers and stabilizer bar; dual-link independent MacPherson strut rear suspension with gas-filled shock absorbers and stabilizer bar (SE Sport adds sport-tuned shock absorbers and springs)

http://www.toyotacertified.com/ebrochures/05_solara.pdf

Not sure if there are any more differences besides cosmetic.

You need to take that heavy subwoofer out the trunk and the girlies out the back seat  --all coupes have the same height unloaded no matter what the trim. (I also noticed you changed your wheels.) Any difference measured throughout the production process warrants an investigation. The verts are 0.4 inches higher than the coupes but, again, it is not related to trim.

Do the TRD FSTB / RSB / Springs add much over the SE Sport package for the added expense?

RSB everyone agrees is a must do
springs i noticed a huge difference in handling compared to my stock sport
and FSTB is a must for convertibles but doesn't add much compared to the stock bar for the coupe

so yes on the RSB and springs
maybe on the fstb

It was next to another coupe, but an SLE. And the difference was more than what the subwoofers would do, i also checked the front and it was lower too.

^^When you measure the height, do you start from the bottom of the lip kit to the ground?
