They're kinda like coilovers in that they are adjustable but they don't cost as much.

Do they give a bigger drop than regular springs?

They drop it around 3 inches or so at the lowest.

The springs themselves are made by eibach.

What should I be looking for a price range?

All I'm getting is ground control coilovers. are those different?

I would skip the GrndCtrl stuff. They don't lower much extra on our cars.
Camman has them on his car. Talk to him for his opinion on the setup.

Sometimes they are on ebay. Anything under $200 is a decent price.

That doesn't really answer my question, but I appreciate the attempt.

I don't see how it doesn't. You were debating between which "look" you liked better. In that thread, you see Solaras lowered on coilovers (expensive) and struts/springs combos (cost-effective way to lower). Compare for yourself. As they've said in this thread already, most go with Tokico struts and either Tein or Eibach springs (pictures of both spring setups in that thread).

Also, you don't necessarily NEED new struts for lowering springs, but it is a very good idea for a better ride on lowered springs (especially on OEM struts with many miles on them).

I wasn't debating which "look" I liked better, I was simply saying what kind of "look" I was looking for (sporty vs. ricer) and sent pictures to clarify what I meant. Thanks tho.

I think my struts are old so I'll look into getting new ones. Thanks again.

I would recommend it.
Why install aftermarket springs on OEM struts??
What happens when the OEM struts give out, you will have to put some work into puttin' on new struts.
Do everythin' at once.
IMO, new springs and struts will save you work down the road, unless you use the strut mounts you have on your car now.

when you do a suspension overhaul, do it all at once because its a pain to do..

4 KYB Strut Mounts: 160(f) + 120 (r) = $280

1 Set Tokico Struts: $370

1 Set Lowering Springs: $200

_____________________________________

Total: $850

then add..

TAX
SHIPPING
INSTALL
ALIGNMENT

and yah.. it becomes a pretty expensive affair.

OR..

Get a used set of Coilovers.. like the ISC's on the FS section with full adjustability.

$775 shipped.
$20 Camber bolts
________________
Total: $795

add install: or you can do it yrself now- since its pretty much bolt and go.. (this usually saves you about 200-250)

add alignment.

good luck!
