I always thought the term was "Pre Madonnas" and was a reference to the popular pop singer. :o wow. Well, I like my way better.

This back and forth is really funny. I hope no one is actually taking any of it seriously lol. Btw, we need a new intoxicated smiley, all the unidentified bottles jumping up and down in this thread is giving me a headache lol.

Wish I could help you out with the speedometer issue. My gauge is about 1 - 2 MPH slow, but I think it's the needle or something. My ScanGauge reads higher and when I'm driving under 5 MPH I don't see the needle raised at all.

I'm still surprised I haven't gotten more speeding tickets from those stationary speed trap cameras, I'm almost always going 9 - 10 MPH over the limit, right before they are supposed to snap.

Change the speed mechanically, find a vss gear with the same pitch and diameter and a different amount of teeth. Most of the Toyota vss gears are interchangeable. If you get a vss with less teeth it will speed things up, more teeth will slow down. They cost about $40 on average.

Maybe it was because I graduated. 8)

Back on topic...that's why I go with the same size as original.
And the roads really suck here. :(

With original size tires on original 16" wheels my speedometer reads about 10% fast, so my cars odometer says it has more miles than it should.

from what ive read online it is not uncommon for a cars speedometer to be inaccurate from the factory.

Test yours at highway speeds over 50mph. you may be surprised. my speedometer reads 55 at 50.

If you can find a gear with two more teeth you be real close to accurate.
