1MZ-FE TB parts

1MZ-FE TB parts

Postby angmedic911 » Fri Feb 05, 2010 5:26 pm

Does anyone know where I can get the sensors for the 1MZ-FE throttle body aside from the dealer. I have a 98 Lexus ES300 with auto transmission and had Proflow Design rebore a TB, but Jim at Proflow Design stated one sensor is missing on the TB. I know I can remove the two sensors on my current TB and install them on the rebored, but I figured I would buy the two new sensors and install them on the rebored TB. I believe one sensor is the idle control sensor at the bottom of the TB and the other is a vaccuum type diaphram sensor on the side of the TB that has a small hose that runs to the top of the TB. Also will I need to get a new gasket in order to bolt on the rebored TB onto the intake manifold and will I need new gaskets for the sensors? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks alot Gabe. I need the bottom sensor and then the three metal hoses that bolt onto the bottom of the TB and then I need the side sensor, the TB came with the vaccuum diaphram and small black hose, but is missing the side sensor. Another question, what is considered the core for a TB? Jim at Proflow asked that I return a core TB back to him. I have an extra TB, without the throttle bracket holder, neither sensors and is missing the bottom piece that has the three metal hoses. He sent me a rebored TB with the bottom sensor and metal hoses and the vaccuum diaphram and hose. I am wonder if its ok to send back a bone stock TB with no sensors? Thanks.

i think a bare bone TB would be acceptable as a core.
