Hey guys call me slow but being a new Solara owner I am figuring out that things like TRD Superchargers etc are not made anymore and furthermore are REALLY hard to find. I have tried ebay, trdusa, toyotaparts, etc and nobody has these things kicking around but you cant tell me there is not a market for these things lol!! ANybody know why they quit making them and where did u guys get yours?!?! I have a heavily modified 4Runner and thought that was tough finding parts for but geez lol!!

limited number of production years makes it tough. they are out there but you have to know where to look. i would think the forums are the best bet.

Talk to trd4life, if there is a trd part you want, he either has it or can find it.

Here's the deal, as everyone mentioned Gabe is selling a Supercharger kit, they are getting harder and harder to find and most guys that sell their's have broken or missing parts. He is one of the resident experts on the forum and will provide you with a full kit with everything you need. $hit or get off the pot.

They were discontinued because 1. They stopped making the gen 1 solara 7 years ago, and 2. There was not much demand for these parts when they were being sold. It makes perfect sense for them to be out of production. Limited interest means not a lot of these parts were sold/produced to being with, making it even harder.

Really, the TRD supercharger is the only thing that can be tricky to get, but there are always a few for sale here. It just comes down to spending the money. All of the TRD parts were made by other manufacturers, and it is easy to find a comparable part or something better made by other aftermarket companies.

I guess I should have been more specific. Yes I do see a few parts here and there (used) etc but when going to sites like trdusa, etc barely any parts for solara. Yeah I understand this model is a few years old but isn't that when people start modding and tinckering??
One question I do have is how hard is supercharging this solara engine on the rest of the components and drivetrain?? Will my car remain old faithful if I install the SC but don't drive the holy hell out of it?? I have quite a lenghty commute so always hesitate messing with this ride. My 4Runner on the other hand is game on lol..

Because they don't physically manufacture these parts anymore.
