Is it necessary to replace the timing belt tensioner along with the timing belt and water pump? I've got varying reports from my mechanics

As long as the seal and rod are within specs, it's fine to reuse.

if it's not leaking, then no.

but if you can find it cheap somewhere or have a spare one handy, then you may as well replace it as well.

otherwise though, no.

thAnks. Quoted $500 for belt, pump, and all seals. Incl parts and labor. Sound right?

Anything else I should get done at 90k? Plugs were replaced at 60k, guess I should get trans fluid changed as well (MT)
