If you want an outstanding paint job then your gona have to spend some money.
Spending more on the paint than the part your painting is usually how it works.
If you can get a shop to paint your hood for $300 and have it match consider yourself lucky.
When I bought a new bumper for my Gen 1 I spent around $350, just on the paint.
(the bumper only cost $180)
I also spent around $150 to paint the Sarona Grill.
Number 1: I wanted it done right and I heard a lot of good things from friends.
Number 2: Paint is something I wont cheap out on. If you pay for a cheap paint job its gona show.
You mine as well spend the money and have it done right the first time and with a warranty if possible.
Ask around about your local shops.
Walk around the shop too if ya can.
You can usually tell a lot about the kinda work they do by looking at how their shop looks and runs.
Most importantly:
Look at their work.
See what they have painted in the past.
Most shops have pics of their work.
Looking at the real thing is even better!
Good Luck to ya!!!
