need help on open door problem!!

the problem im having is my door isnt closing properly. I close it and its not closing all the way like it should be. and the open door light inside shuts off but turns on if the car goes over and small bumbs or if my arm pushes on the door slightly. im clueless so far.

You sure its a door problem and not an electrical problem??

yea its a door problem. you can see from the side view of the car that the door looks like its not closed all the way. but i cant find whats preventing it from closing.

check trim pieces, check the bolts holding the door to the cars frame, it may also be the hing going from the car to the door thats out of whack.

I had this problem with my passenger door in the cold. WD-40 and then ultimately a hair dryer to warm up the hinge were how I got it closed properly.

ok ill try the hinges too i tightened the latch on the car a little but no deal. :(

Might be your window hitting against the black trim piece.
Try lowering your window and closing the door.
