Another HID problem

Another HID problem

Postby Yaro » Mon Dec 07, 2009 7:55 pm

Hi guys, and sorry about another hid post.
I have one year old 35w low/hi (hid/halogen) hid kit in my headlight. 5000k
And today i put in fog 55w hid kit 5000k from VVME.
Light color output so different between fog and headlight.
In fog color the same like warm white (halogen).
When i turn on fog light then output light the same like headlight, but after 10-15 second warm up and change color to warm white.
And 55w kit in fog have so much big light output. Poor incoming traffic.
I want the same color output in fog and headlight.
Why so big different???
1. Old bulbs in headlight.
2. Bad HID kit for fog.
And question:
What type of bulb will be better for light output in headlight and not blind incoming traffic?
h4-1, h4-2, h4-3??
photos:
1. Front view: Headlight and fog light on. Bad photo quality. Can't see different between.

2. Only Headlight on.

3. Headlight and fog light on. Really big different.

From my understanding, the 35w to 55w changes the color a bit..

the size of the fog light itself has an effect as well. just play with different temps or go with 3k

Hm... so need upgrade bulbs.
What you think guys:
Change bulbs in headlight (now low(hid)/hi(halogen)) for new like this bi-xenon:
http://cgi.ebay.com/H4-HB2-9003-bi-xenon-bixenon-High-low-beams-2-bulbs-New_W0QQitemZ140365840845QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item20ae74c1cd

or just buy single beam with shield:

And buy another 55w bulb for fogs...
this one was 5000k but color like halogen..probably some fake from china.
hm..try the same 5000k or go up and tried 6000k.. mb like sahuddleston said fog light size effect and +55w.
