you would need to disconnect all connections from the HID ballast and test your headlight wire seperately. If the power goes off when car shuts off then you know its your ballast which is giving off constant 12 volts or maybe you had wired up HID incorrectly with constant power from battery going to wrong wire

if constantly on while driving, it is your DRLs... just unplug the gray plug on the pas. side of the bay near the firewall and that should do the trick.

Damon...if he unplugs this wouldnt the headlight wire not receive power?

I thought he ment the headlights were on after car was turned off which is why i assume he had contant 12 v going to headlights...but anyways now I am curious about the DRL (daytime running lights) plug

If you have HIDs you need to disable the Daytime Running Lights. To do this, just disconnect the gray plug on the resistor located on the passenger side of the firewall under the hood. It is labeled with a caution sticker that says it is HOT. Also disconnect the light sensor, this is the dark dome shaped lens lookin' thing on the passenger side of the dash. If you pry up on it, it will pop out so you can unplug it.

These two plugs will disable your DRLs and your headlights will work properly. Also if you just unplug stuff, it is completely reversible.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

^The grey plug under the hood is the only plug needed unplugged to disable your DRL. The sensor on the dash just turns on your lights when it gets dark. I unplugged the sensor anyways so Im able to turn off my lights when its dark.

You're exactly right. That's also why I did it on mine.

Both you guys are correct.
I hated how my headlights would turn on in a long tunnel here in OKC.
So i unplugged the light sensor on the passenger side in the corner of the dash.
When you do that, and do the independent fog light mod you get this.

http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php? ... fog+lights

Follow this guide. I did the same thing but used an alternative 12 volt source so that the corner lights don't have to be on in order to have fogs on.
