Take apart the door, and see what part is broken.
Then you go to the salvage yard and buy the part that's broken.
Installin' the new parts is just the way you took out the broken part.

I took the door apart yesterday, and found that it snapped right where the cable meets the piece of metal that holds it to the unlocking part. It broke way on the inside of the door. But theres that plastic cover protecting it an i cant seem to get it to come off. Ill try and get sme pictures up here.

That plastic piece should peel right off.

thats what i thought but its holding on for dear life in one spot. im gonna go back out to the garage today and go at it again. hopefully itll let me in. lol. but it sucks because the exact same thing happened to me with my window regulator. The motor itself works fine, but i cant find the replacement cable i need. Everywhere i look, they tell me I have to buy the whole assembly all over. Any solutions for that ?? Ive tried salvage yards but their cars dont use cables to work the windows, and if they do, theyre always the wrong length.

You can buy a replacement cable at Toyota.. its cheap something like 10 bucks.

It took me 20 mins to replace which included me removing the door panel. I replaced it on another members are here..
