ok, so i have a 99 sle, premium hvac (the electric setup)

my problem is that my heater won't stay on. rather, my heater will turn on, i can turn my knob <85 upto "HOT" and it will stay on the heater for about 3-5 minutes.

then, without me touching the knob, it turns itself down to "COLD"

i can still press the knob to switch between the hvac temp and the outside temp, but turning the knob (like to turn up the heater temp) does nothing for me.

so basically i get about 5 minutes of heat, then i can have cold, or i can turn it off.

lemme know what ya'll think

The blend door motor sounds faulty - I think.

well, the funny thing is that the heater does work

then it decides it doesn't want to blow hot air anymore

so the motor itself i would assume is good (if it was faulty, wouldn't it not even get hot at first?)
^^ this is speculation, i don't know much about the inner-workings of an hvac system
