the wire pulley system that raises and lowers my driver's side window snapped the other day. have any of you tried to fix this yourself? I am debating doing it myself or dropping it off.

You need a new Regulator.

It;s not the easiest job to do, I'll say that. But if you know your way around a car, it;s doable for sure. I did it last week on a '94 Camry.

I had to take the door paneling off in order to rig the window so it would stay up. It looks like a pretty simple set-up, but I am just wondering how easy it is to get tools inside the door to do any work. I think what happened to me is that the top wire got snagged while I was puting the window down resulting in the top wire snapping. Maybe I will go to toyota to see what is involved.
