Hey guys.. its been a while.. but mainly because of my car accident. so let me tell you what happen.. back in June I was involved in a car accident where I was hit in my right quarter panel by a speeding guy. With my luck the guy turns out to be an ex-cop so of course police officer that came to scene backs his buddy up saying it somehow was my fault. Anyways my back and neck got all messed up and I been going through treatment. Turns out it wasn't even his car and that insurance doesn't want to pay saying it is 80% my fault, my car is checked out and considered total loss. Since then I got a lawyer working on the case and yeah... but here's pictures at the time of the accident... in one picture you see a 30mph sign that i was pushed onto, we had not entered that zone yet the speed zone i was hit in was a school zone that is 15-20mph in which he was doing at least 60mph.. and then last picture shows my shock strut when taken off the car obviously bent. Good news with the help of some connections i got the mechanical parts taken car of and the body work fixed.. ill post those pics later when i take them .. so let me know what ya think!!

well gave up on it for couples months and then i gained hope back ... and the story is i was turning checking to see if everything was clear and it was i turned and he came flying into my car. That's the good thing of being a cop you get away with anything.. and the cop that came to the scene said i was distracted and cut him off..

Daaaaam man. Glad you came out in one piece, even though you do mention that you had injuries. Speedy recovery dude.

As for repairs, it looks like you have frame and body damage and some suspension work, if not more. Are you doing most of the work yourself?

I'm not sure who is in the wrong, but I have some questions.
Is the school zone a "when lights are flashing" speed limit, and if so were the lights flashing at the time?
If at the time the ex-cop was not speeding in a school zone, I figure it is your fault.
Second question, could the ex-cop simply have been in your blind spot so you did pull out in front of him, but didn't see him, thus you assumed he was speeding and 'came out of nowhere'? If that was the case, it was your fault.
It is not automatically the rear-ender's fault when the person they rear-end is merging into the lane. Even if the person is speeding when they rear-end you.
Trust me, I'm a technician.
