To do the hybrid all you need is the 3mz short block. The rest is 1mz. If you want to do a complete swap, you will have to do a crap load of wiring and electronic crap and that's gonna be one expensive pain in the a$$.
It is not a direct swap exactly, Gabe informed me that the block has to be machined in some way to redirect oil to match up the block with the heads. He didn't know the exact procedure, but that's what he told me.
He also told me that he could get me a ready to swap short block for $1000-$1400. So talk to him and he can hook you up.
Oh yeah, If you are burning oil, are you sure that you have bad rings, or could it be your valve guides. If it is your rings then the hybrid will help you. If it is the valve guides you will still burn oil.
One more thing, the hybrid will raise compression to about 11:1 too high to safely boost. So you will need to ditch the charger or put different hardware in the short block to lower the compression ratio. Unless you plan on running crazy fuel an reinforcing every piece in the engine.
