or wheelskins.com - they have custom sized (for each model car) and well stitched covers that you can barely tell are covers

I had the same problem, it seems very common. I replaced the wheel with a used one from eBay this summer. It's probably the best option.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

i suggest you stay away from those covers/caps.... they make the steering wheel so thick. i had one on for a while... it looked good, but was soo thick, it reduces the manuverabilty. when i took it off, it felt soo good to be able to have a good grip on the steering wheel.

as for re-upholstering, i have heared its way too hard and expensive. I am getting mine professionally painted next week. i will post pics of before/after

from 2-3 upholstery guys that work in my company... they do the leather in the business jets... so they kind of know

they mentioned that the rubber or foam under the leather would be all dried up and can be re-used. they said doing a good job would cost like 200-300$ so they said, its not worth the trouble, just paint it.

they will remove my steering wheel, clean it up, make paint mixture and shoot it... next saturday is the big day!

if you can re-upholstery my steering wheel for under 80$ you are the man! come and do it

Mazen,
Do you work on planes? Or interiors, fabrics that kind of thing?
I hope the paint thing works out. Good luck.
