Jims Fuel mod on NA Lara?

Jims Fuel mod on NA Lara?

I thoroughly hate our oe fuel filter. Has anyone else has tried Jims Fuel mod on an NA Solara before?
You guys think there might be any gains from it w/out an SC?

There is a restriction in the stock fuel lines that connect to the fuel rails. The "Jims fuel mod" eliminates this by connecting to each fuel rail individually. You might gain a few horses, but you may also run REALLY rich, I would hold out on this mod, unless you plan on going S/C.
btw: I'm pretty sure that the Jim's fuel mod kit uses the same oe filter type as the stock setup.

Ok, you WILL NOT run rich just from switching to the Jim's fuel mod. The computer controls the amount of fuel going into the engine. You can run the mod with no problem if you are NA, it can't hurt. But I wouldn't expect any gains from it. I don't think you gain much from it even with a SC. Of course I do not have the mod so I can't tell definitively. Feel free to put one on your car, but don't expect more power. It'll probably just look cool. 8)
Trust me, I'm a technician.

Jim's Fuel Mod is less restrictive than the OEM line from the fuel filter.
I don't think that you'll get any HP gains.....

I am N/A and have JFM. My mpg is just about the same, there is no cons to this upgrade. As everyone said it each fuel line has it's own fuel source. I have known a better throttle response. Go ahead and do it, be sure to use anti seize on all threads and the fuel filter I am using is a bit larger than OEM.

I wouldn't spend the money personally. I'm sure Toyota designed the stock lines that way for a reason. With things like this, I like to subscribe to "If it ain't broken, don't fix it."

Save your money for other things IMO.

^I agree. Unless you plan on going boosted later on, it's not worth the money.

Thanks for the info guys.

I do have some aspirations of a supercharger later on down the road; I think I will hold off till after I get boosted, as you guys suggested.

Thanks aagin
