TRD4life Supra TT Big brake Brackets Ready for Shipping!

Postby trd4life » Wed Sep 30, 2009 5:20 pm

I have ten more sets of the Supra TT Big Brake Brackets ready for shipping. Includes a pair of relocation brackets, and hardware. For those of you that are unfamiliar with these brackets they allow you to run the 13" Supra TT brake rotors on the front of your Solara using either the stock caliper or the dual piston ES300 caliper.

$150 shipped !

PM me if you would like a set or have any questions.

Thanks

Gabe

I love my BB kit on my SC. I also have the bigger ES 300 rotors on the rear (Stock calipers F/R with ES caliper brackets only on the rear). For all those wanting awsome stopping power...this is it. I would recommend getting the rears for those with SC. I can now dive DEEEP into a corner and these will STOP on a dime. The feel is terrific too..solid and progressive.

Here is what the front looks like installed:

IMO you should complete the front setup wit some twin pistons. :D

You mean the ES 300's ?What for? Really...

How much *more* performance will I get? I say VERY LITTLE. Yeah, they're dual piston...but, the TOTAL piston area is almost the SAME as the stockers...so stopping power is about the same. Sure..you have slightly larger pads and wider distribution of force. Is is it worth the *hastle* and extra $$? You decide. All I can say is...my brakes are MORE than enough for my needs. BTW..if you try and go much bigger with the pistons with an upgrade..your brake feel and travel will go into the crapper
(unless you change the Master Cyl set up).

Well i have twin pistons up front and OEM in the rear wit SS brake lines, The brake pedal feel and travel feels shorter to me... IMO.

Well...It can't be *shorter* because of the calipers... Having a bit more piston surface area, they require a tad MORE brake fluid ( thus more travel)..nothing I think you would notice though. Maybe the SS lines gave you that feeling. As I said, I complemented my set up with the larger rear rotors as well, so I have more stopping torque than you do with just the fronts. If you want more stopping power, you may want to do that as well.
Don't get me wrong..I don't have a *beef* with the duals...can't hurt. I think the ONLY possible advantage would be a bit less fade on the race track, but the size of those rotors (heat sink capability) :D pretty much solves that *problem* :D.

Yeah my ultimate plan is to get the rears upgraded also.
