So just making a thread about my swap. Going with the dual piston's upfront and the larger one piston for the rear...the rear calipers are the size of the FRONT stock ones! and the rear disc is bigger than the front!

As for the brake pads, i went with the Brembo Sport pads for the front, and Hawk HPS for the rear.

I will post more pics durring/after the install.

dont be surprised when the asss end of your car passes you up when you have to break hard, and especially if your in a slight turn, those rear brakes were made for a station wagon, alot more weight in the rear, thats why they are bigger, so be careful, and feel it out before you drive it hard................ :drinking:

this can be a valid statement, but, the es300 weighs about the same, and all the parts in the picture are for/from an es300.

Also, the caliper itself was offered on the 99 Solara (v6).

I have the same setup, and my car weights less then Dawgz. We're both keeping our 16" rims as the roads we drive on are absolutley horendous, so we can't get bigger front rotors.

Won't the abs take care of that? If not, a proportioning valve should work.
