Engine bay dress up.

Postby SleeperSolara » Thu Aug 06, 2009 1:34 pm

I was thinkin' about dressin' up my engine bay alittle bit wit some color.
I was thinkin' about gettin' some Gallery Fresh bolts and washer.

Everyone knows i have a DWP Solara.
I just can't decide wit either black or blue right now.
I was leanin' towards Blemont Blue, but i want to get some input from you guys.
I'm goin' to start off wit the fender bolts first.

What you guys think??

black is koo and would work with your dwp and black theme throughout the car.. i guess. but the blue would really stand out. I think with black, people wouldn't notice it. If you're trying to go with a theme, I vote blue.

Yeah very true man.
I was goin' to change the headlights bolts, grille bolts, and battery tie-down bolts, some fuse box bolts, and some bolts on the left side of the engine bay, includin' some bolts on the right of course.

Sleeper,

The Gallery bolts are nice and all, but to get anywhere near the point of having it noticed by others, you're in the hole a couple of hundreds bucks already. Mike (guy w/the really nice black Gen1 from ToyotaFest) had a plethora of gallery bolts in his bay ( I wish I'd taken closer detail shots, they were even on his battery tie bown, strut towers, etc!)

Never heard of this company before... I need to cop some of these :)

I vote black.

EDIT: WOW. these things are expensive. I'm gonna use the dough I would use on screws towards a new turbo

I don't think so, that's why i'll be plannin' on gettin' a LSD kit, and a high stall torque converter. :D

Thanks man that's why i was thinkin' about Gallery Fresh cause i wanted to make the enigne bay pop out better.
I was thinkin' about startin' wit the fenders first and then movin' from there.
Thanks for the picture man, i was wonderin' how the washer kit would looke on the front valve cover. :D

I was thinkin' that too.
Was goin' to use polished for the strut bar??
