500 is incredibly reasonable, considering that they were selling new for like, 650 i want to say.

lol, good correction Rm....modding a solara is much more costly than modding a civic. but the overall fit and finish of the solara aftermarket product is much better/classier IMO.

that is to say, UNLESS you're TRYING to rice out the solara.

a cheaper alternative might be to consider the home depot lip kit, which is borderline ricey, but can be executed well, if done subtly....i'll leave it up to your discretion....though i think someone on here did it (you may want to do a search and PM whomever it was for details)

lol, i know (i read the first post)

...i'm just saying, you may be able to compromise with a cheap HD 'lip kit' without it looking too ricey (depending on what qualifies as 'rice' to you)

i've seen them done in an alright manner, it's just a matter if it's in your particular taste or not.

it'd get your car looking about 3/4" lower than it is, which is kinda what you are looking for....and i don't think it screams rice if it's not overdone.

plus if it gets destroyed or you don't like it, its cheap to fix or throw away.
