Ok, here is the dealer. I got a lot of crap, so I can mix and match what is needed.

Since I am Mixing and Matching, I'll give the buyer a picture of the EXACT items they want prior to payment.

1: The basic, Gen 3/4 Camry and Gen 1 Solara Current disc to ES300 disc upgrade:
1: Reman Calipers and Caliper Brackets with ALL new hardware
2: Pads
3: ES300 backing plate

$225 USPS Priority Mail insured. Slightly more outside the US.

2: Drum to ES300 Disc Gen 3/4 Camry and Gen 1 Solara
Same as above plus:
1: All parking brake harsware/shoes attached to the backing plate
2: Rubber brake hose from caliper to hard line
3: Parking brake Cables (Only for Gen 3 swap). Gen 4 Camry/Gen 1 Solara owners will need to get thier own. I can help out if needed.

$300 USPS Priority Mail insured. Slightly more outside the US.

3: Drum to Camry disc (recommended if sticking with I4 front brakes, used till the 1999 model year):

On everything, The Hub you have is reused. You WILL need to get the Rotors.

Size of rear Caliper

Postby RON » Wed Sep 09, 2009 12:32 am

Can someone verify the BORE SIZE of the piston for the ES REAR calipers? Are they any larger than the Gen 4 Camry /1999 Solara which have the same caliper size/pads as the ES? I'm asking because I was going to use the ES brackets with my 97 Camry stock calipers on the larger rear ES rotors, but if the PISTONS on the ES are bigger, I may use them instead. I found that the bore size of the 97-1999Camry/1999Solara rear caliper is 1.37". I saw somewhere that the bore of the ES was 1.50 (Raybestos Rebuilt).

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=310931

"Brake Pads Included; Bore Size=1.5" Inlet Thread=M10X1 Bleeder Thread=M7X1 Professional Grade; Loaded Caliper, Remanufactured"

But now I found this:

CONDITION: Refurbished

Rear Right Caliper With Pad

1992 : Lexus : ES300 : V6-2959 3.0L DOHC - notes: w/4 WHEEL DISC, 1.375"
1993 : Lexus : ES300 : V6-2959 3.0L DOHC - notes: w/4 WHEEL DISC, 1.375"
1994 : Lexus : ES300 : V6-2995 3.0L DOHC - notes: w/4 WHEEL DISC, 1.375"
1995 : Lexus : ES300 : V6-2995 3.0L DOHC - notes: w/4 WHEEL DISC, 1.375"
1996 : Lexus : ES300 : V6-2995 3.0L DOHC - notes: w/4 WHEEL DISC, 1.375"
1992 : Toyota : Camry : 4-2164 2.2L DOHC - notes: w/4 WHEEL DISC, 1 3/8" - STATION WAGON
1992 : Toyota : Camry : V6-2958 3.0L DOHC - notes: w/4 WHEEL DISC, 1 3/8" - STATION WAGON

Thanks

I think adam stated somewhere that the rear caliper on the 99 solara and also older gen 4's have the same sized rear caliper ONLY as the es300...

Yea..but that Raybestos info has thrown me for a loop. They're pretty *anal* about their info provided. What I don't understand is that the rebuilt ES calipers sold W/O the brackets do NOT show compatibility with the 97 Camry or 1999 Solara :-? ..and IF the pistons are the same size, then they are IDENTICAL and should be compatible (w/o bracket). So, the ONLY difference is the bracket??? Someone needs to measure an ES BORE :D

This isn't a big deal for me, but I found rebuilt ES rears remanufactured as stated above (1.37") for $45 ea COMPLETE and loaded with NO CORE CHARGE!!!! :o My calipers are in great shape and I have the brackets already....but I would buy the ES ones IF they have a bigger bore...given that price.

Without the bracket, the 1997 Camry (and 1999 Solara) Caliper IS compatible with the earlier ES 300. When I looked up *with the bracket included* they were NOT. I guess they are identical after all (same piston size and pad size).
