Cant get my trunk to open when using the trunk open latch next to gas cap latch. Also sunroof will not open...any ideas? Getting tired of crawling inside trunk to open it! These cars are fast-BTW I have had my 04 3.3 about a week. I dont have a remote so thats my next priority

make sure ur trunk latch isn't locked
try putting ur key into the slot there and turn it and see if it fixes that
sunroof, just check the fuse under the dash

Its a 2004 SE w/ 67k miles]
I bought it outright for 5200k and an XBOX 360 but it was flooded

I had to return my 07 CTS under GM's smartlease--I wasnt goin to buy it as it was a base model and still wanted 20k plus 5% financing

Anyway the SE V6 3.3 has more punch than the 2.8 but I would rather have the CTS for ride quality. Being the Solara was under water -its amazing its running at all-it runs excellent.

I think once I figure out the electricals & get rid of the codes all together its a keeper.

The sunroof fuse is good
Im thinking I need a new multiplex network unit as everything going into it is acting up. ALSO that gauge that figures out my miles per gallon is acting up--Any advice on whats making it display 74 then 50 then 90 mpg would be appreciated

Also the gas tank pressure seems to be wrong-im hoping to find parts for this system
Thanks ALL

Do you have any idea just how high the water got in the lara? And how long ago was it flooded?

The guy who sold it to me had to replace the ecu so it must have gotten up to at least the glovebox.

It has a rebuilt salvage title.

The car wont lock--which sucks I had to buy one of those steering wheel locks.

Im going to get a remote and program it but the key that starts the car isnt the one that can unlock the trunk lock or door locks.

Some weird crap going on w/ this and its a pain to manually unlock the trunk

also the theft deter light doesnt light up

the 6 disc cd player works great

Cool car so far but I need to grease everything just in case the rebuilder didnt.

It was flooded around 45k. It has 67k now. Doesnt smell or anything the seats look new which is amazing.

I thought the trunk latch was a cable and not elect? Does it work with your key fob?
