Here's some info I had laying around in case it helps.

EGR Resistance: 1.5-4.3k Ohm
Voltage: 3.2-5.1V (pressure) - .4-1.6V (no pressure)

Im with akora on this one - i've got a grasp of what your talking about james, but being able to make a "black box" is well beyond my capabilities..
I also have an EGR valve that i'll donate if you need it, and im only about 2.5 hrs from you so i'm also willing to be a test dummy for this project. Good luck james & keep us posted!! :D

I'm glad you kind of understand what I'm trying to say.

This is beyond my capabilities too but that has never stopped me from anything (see my Camry thread). I'll keep trying until I get it to work.

I might actually ask you to try out the first one to see if it works.

I gave this very problem some thought way back when I did the original resistor trick on my 95 (which worked, since its EGR system is simpler). I thought myself thankful that the resistor (not transistor) trick worked, because i didn't know how to even begin designing a system that would handle all the IF conditions that exist in the system... i look at things from a programming perspective, and know very little about teh hardware side of it all. i can hook up alarms and dvds and stuff - basic power circuits essentially, but even my digital gauges project is currently beyond my scope of knowledge.

but... if you get this working, would you be able to sell it as a DIY kit for people like me who can solder and follow a schematic, or will you be doing this with a PIC or a basic stamp or something like that?
