The MAF sensor is there, instead of placing it on the side stock, he position it at the bottom. Shouldn't matter.

What aenties said. I had to do some cutting and trimming but everything is there and works fine. I attached the vacuum hose to that same tube with the MAF.

Oh I see it now. Awesome man! Remove that resonator, and you'll get alot more sound.

Haha this thread gave me ideas so I tried something similar on my gen 2. I removed the snorkel and resonators and my 2.4L has a nice growl to it now. Downshifts sound really good too. :D

I still can't believe there were THREE silencers/resonators in this thing. The plastic jug, the airbox, and that black thing near the throttle body. Toyota REALLY didn't want anyone to hear the 1MZ, which is a shame because it sounds awesome. lol

I *might* do that later on. lol. Right now I'm trying to figure out what that hose that goes to the silencer I circled does and how I get it out. Then its off to Home Depot.

That is the crankcase ventilation hose. it pulls gases out of the valve cover. You could relocate it to the tube you replace the resonater with.

did you buy the car the way it is with the wheels? do you know if the suspension has been touched? That's the exact look I am going for.

Quick question, does the pipe I get to replace the silencer HAVE to be 2.75"? I can't seem to find that size anywhere. What difference will it make if I go slightly higher or lower?

^The closest thing I could find to the size of our intake pipe to match it was 2.5" Grey PVC Conduit. Just go to lowe's or home depot. It will NOT be in the pipe section. It's been on there for over a month now, I've taken 2 300 mile trips, and everything seems to be doing fine. I didn't feel a difference in anything it just sounds great. But you get definitely get the most sound from removing the intake snorkel.

No I purchased the wheels after I bought the car. I put on Tein S. Tech springs because the car looked like a 4x4 after I put on the wheels. I also have 225/45 tires unlike most of the guys on here with 18s who have 225/40. If you get the 225/45 they fill up the gap better but I had to do some major fender rolling so they wouldn't rub.

Hey guys,

saw this post couple days ago and having nothing better to do I did this:d

sorry for the bad picture quality, I had pretty much everything laying around so was pretty easy, didn't notice much difference in sound(maybe cuz I'm driving like a old lady, haha) but that doesn't mean that there is no difference, it was easy to do and I think it looks better:) and is so much more room in there, now I need to get rid of that big airbox :D
I know that the pipe is 2-3/4" outside diameter, don't know what size the fitting is but I can find out if needed, just let me know
