misfiring?

Postby no_escape » Thu Jun 25, 2009 9:59 am

Yesterday I received my magnacore wires, put them on last night... Sounds like the motor is misfiring really bad.

Had no power when I moved up and down the street. Also the exhaust note sounds louder and it smells like gas out of the exhaust.

I haven't driven it anymore.

I checked the three connections on the ignition coils and they are hooking up. I checked the connections to the spark plugs and they are hooking up... from what I can feel.

Anyone have this issue before or think I'm not getting the plugs on the spark plugs well enough?

NBD.
You made a mistake, everyone does.
You stopped driving it until you found it.
Fixed now.
Enjoy the ride.

If it makes you feel any better, SpeedySolara brought both his Solara's to my house a couple weeks ago to swap the SC from one to the other. Yes, I did the same damn thing.........

hehe, you would think the long wire goes the longest route, ect, ect.

Next is the wideband digital display bracket. That thing is nothing but problems but I'm not giving up yet.
