Alright, so i again, I've only had this car for about a month. Love the hell out of it, but i just noticed about 2 weeks ago, that when i start the car in the a.m to head to work, it coasts at about 1500 RPM... once I've reached the end of my neighborhood (about a mile drive) I've noticed by then, that the RPM's at coast/idle are well below 1000 which IMO is right. So I'm curious why it starts at such a high RPM idle mark?

Im guessing you are talking about a situation after a cold start (after car has been sitting for a few hours). This is normal, its to get the engine to operational temps, along with the motor oil as well.

Also, it was also impliment for emissions, from what i've read.

all cars do, because the motor is designed to run most efficiently at operating temp. (why you have a thermostat). So the faster it heats up the sooner your running more efficiently
