Switching Seats - Coupe/Conv - Gen 1/1.5

Hey, long time lurker, new poster. I've had my 03 SLE Drop-top (black/tan/tan) for about a year, but just moved out of the wintry hell of Indiana, so I'm preparing to make my car a bit more worthy of sunny Houston. Expect more posts and some photos soon!

I found a junker 99 nearby and I'm replacing the seats provided everything fits right. I know (from searching) that the seats will bolt in no problem, but two questions remain:

First, will the power assy. under the drivers' seat match across Gen 1/1.5 for an easy plug switch? My guess is yes, since the seats didn't change but any sure experience out there?

Second, is there any problem putting coupe seats into a conv.? I know I'll lose the seatbelt harness on each shoulder, but I never use that anyway. No other safety reasons etc. to avoid mixing?

Thanks for any pointers at all. This place is great. (P.S. What's up with the site's graphics? All the links are broken it seems.)

WELCOME to sg!
Seats should fit just fine, and yes the power connectors will fit as well. Links are all working fine for me, must be your internet connection.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm stoked to have found a pair pretty quick upon getting down here. The old seats are just seriously cruddy, and it'd cost as much to get the leather repaired as to buy these mint seats.

Yeah, weird. Things like the little icons next to "FAQ", "Search," etc. aren't loading for me, even though I can view the images on their own. Things like this: Image. Must be on my end.

South Bend. I liked it up there pretty well, all things considered, but I kept my Solara cooped up from October-May basically. My car definitely prefers the sun, you know.
