battery failed, tried to jump start it, sparks flew from (+) terminal (corroded battery terminal). Alternator fuse blew. Replaced battery, replaced alternator fuse. Car starts, head lamps work, horn works, inside dome light works. No seat controls, door locks, tail lights, dashboard doesn't light up, no tach., no speedometer, no radio either. I varified all the fuses multiple times and they're all ok.

Suggestions on whats going on?

*pictures would be a big help also*

Thanks

:D

You checked ALL the fuses, both under the hood, and inside the car?

ya no turn signals.. and yes i checked all the fuses i could check. some relays do not have an indicator. The fuse box under the hood (3 of them) and the fuse box near your left knee when sitting in the drivers seat inside the car.

Ok, so I'm goignt o saw, the cig lighter and windows do not work either?

There has got to be either 1 main fuse that is "semi" burnt, or a relay melted, but not sure which one.

from what i can tell from the wiring diagrams in front of me the three systems that are not working all tie into the same spot the main fuse box under the hood you are going to need an ohm meeter to measure the resistance of your relays i think you have either burnt a fuse or a relay from that pannel how are you testing your fuses?

similar situation when i did a radio install for my girls honda.

all fuses were ok and ended up that i blew the license plate light which was connected with everything else.

start pulling fuses! no matter how dumb it is.

the relays all have a fuse inline before them to protect them so it has got to be a fuse

^ Not always. My friends Alt on his '92 V6 Camry shorted and pumped 20V into the car (for how long, we had no idea). Replaced the Battery (since it shorted out), and installed a Reman Alternator. Everything was fine, so we thought. Turned the car off, and if it were off for more then 2 mins, there was not enough power to start the car. We put a Volt meter to the battery and the Voltage was going down like a stopwatch at arounf 1/2V a minute. After a couple hours, he unplugged the main harness that goes into the car, and the voltage drop stopped. Pinpointed to in car. I then kept the volt meter ont he battery as he pulled the fuses and relays out 1 by 1, untill he pulled the magical one, and the volt meter stoped dropping. 1 of the prongs on the inside of the MAIN power relay on the fuse block melted, causeing a short, that was taking power all the time. That was the entire stupid issue after about 8 hours straight trying to figure it out.

well all the diagrams for the gen 1 show fuses ahead of the relays Toyota has had 10 years of technological advances since they made that car. if that happened with one 92 Camry im sure it happened with alot more and they probably took that into consideration when redesigning the camry

turn all your lights to the on position and pull out one at a time and the one that doesnt change anything when you pull it out will be the one that is bad.what are you using to check your fuses?

believe me i have had fuses go bad but still look good you need to test them with a meter or resistance light
