Swapping SC from the SLE Auto to SE 5-speed.....but it all went wrong, ugh. :(

1st,t he machanic that originally put on the SC and another mechanic that did work on it, between them, just screwed the SLE V6 Auto up, bad. 1 time use gaskets were reused with silicone gasket stuff. Other gaskets were glued on, and the EGR ended up siezing to the SC and EGR tube, which we finally got undone. The Alternator pivit bolt was WAY overtightened, so it took 1.5 hours to cut it off after having to go buy a dremel. The vacuum hoses were all wrong. They cross threaded the flippin screws that hold the idler assembly to the engine. It was a horrible job.

Then the damn Altornator adjustment screws (BOTH) on the other car had broken. One of the screws broke IN the alternator and was fused in, so $200 later, re installed a Reman one.

Blah Blah Blah, 12 hours later, we get at least the 5-speed SC car done...so we thought. One of the studs on the engine is defective or messed up from the factory, so when we strarted the car, sparks flew cause it was against the pulley.

Ok, 40 mins later, thats fixed.

Oh, yeah, thats too easy! He had to drive the car home on 5 Cyl due to what I thionk is a bad plug or wire (I;m hoping).

OMFG! I flippin HATE CRAP ASS MECHANICS!

Was goign to have my mechanic resurface the rotors.....then discovered the pass front pads had 1mm, and the drivers just hit the metal. The retard mechanic never put the wear indicator onto the pads to know when they are low.

As if that was not pad enough, check the engine pics....
