Upgraded Solara Fuel Injectors

Upgraded Solara Fuel Injectors

For those of you who've upgraded your stock 1MZ-FE Solara injectors, a question-- I *think* I've found the right ones, but a little confirmation would be nice.

2JZ-GE motor
'93-'98 Non-Turbo Supra
Injector Type: Saturated
Factory Flow Rate: 315cc
Feed Type: Top

Am I in the ballpark? Also, is this a simple plug and play, or will I have to rewire the harness? I'm assuming (hoping?) just plug these in and redyno to adjust the S-AFC.

Thanks. Rod.

They are plug and play. Set your low map with a obd2 scanner and your high map on the dyno.

i thought the flow rate is 295cc. for 2jz

they just pop right in. might want to get new seals with them though.

The web sites I saw today listed them at 315cc.

http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/techinjector.htm

And why would I want to get new seals for new injectors?

Thought I was over the Solara, and now I'm getting ready to drop another 5 grand. Yikes!

Thanks. Rod.

you'd want to get the new seals, just so that they do not leak. there is a little bit difference in appearance if you were to line up the two. last i recall the 2jz are a little bit longer than the 1mz.

the guy who did the injector install mainly works on MKIII/IV supras, but works on toyota engines overall, so i'd rather take his word rather than the website you provided.

Just for clarity; you mean that you need new *Solara specific* injector seals, not Supra seals.

Next question. Any idea where to find said part seals? Can I get them seperately from a dealer, or are they only packaged with injectors?

Thanks. Rod.

Rod,
Why the big injectors? You can't possibly being running lean up here are you?

Preventative actions. If I'm going to upgrade the intake/exhuast (yet AGAIN!) and heads, I'd like to get the injector duty cycle down a bit before I get too creative on the dyno. R.
