Brake booster on 2004 V6 SLE?

Brake booster on 2004 V6 SLE?

Postby gfryhtsn » Mon May 25, 2009 12:55 pm

I bought a can of sea foam so I could put it in the brake booster, and low and behold I cant find the break booster on this car! Does anyone have any input on this? Thanks...I did a search and couldnt find anything!

Also My car has sluggish shifting every now and then sometimes when cold, and sometimes when warmed up. Dealer charged 350 for the flash of the engine computer, but it still does it...I have read that this seems to be a common problem...Has everyone just learned to live with this? Thanks

there is a TSB print out you can try and bring to your dealer. (see if they will do the re-flash for free depending on what your mileage and warranty is)

i do get the jerk going on and it gets annoying at times but also depends on how you drive. do you have a leadfoot?

the brake booster is located on the firewall right behind your intake tube. I found this pic on google, and although its a i4, the layout is the same.Image

You think I should do it mine? Car has 67K on it. Pretty sure it has never been done on my car. But after every oil change I get a can of seafoam and pour the whole can into my gas tank before I fill up.
