Ive reads all ur posts, happened exactly the same to my 99 Solara, but i called every single mech's friend before i start to do somethin, i changed the Ignition and use 2nd key, it worked fine, took me about 5-7 mins.
Dont take ur car to DealerShip unless a mech tell u to or they suggest u, i mean unless they cant fix. I remember when i wanted to change Timing-Belt/Water-pump, i thought dealership's price are ok + they know more than my friends, fuk Dealership they said 1200$ for parts n everythin. I told them that suk dude, then i went to my friend, he charged me 500$ for everything.
Why ur car isnt start the engine ? when the Retarted-Tow-truck damaged ur car, he might broke somethin and cuts off the wire in there, maybe Toyota dealer did that who knows, you should have not left your car at Toyota Dealer overnight, no wonderin they offered ur 2500$ for ur car.
Get some mechanic and check for you bro, this is what u should do now, get a honest one.
PS: tell northtown dealership RANDY says fuk off to them. And tell that Tow truck dude go to hell, quit job and go die.
