my gas pedal does this too im to lazy to find out why. I would just spray some wd-40 on the linkage on the pedal and see if that helps

you have to push the pedal harder, becuase it is stuck or does it need more gas to move from a stop?

had a similar problem (though not from start - my peddle would stick when i was coasting & tried to apply a little gas). cleaning the throttle body resolved the problem completely (& improved mpg's by ~5). there's great instructions on this board here --> http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php? ... ottle+body

be sure when you buy throttle body cleaner, you get the type for FUEL INJECTED VEHICLES, do NOT use CARB CLEANER. CRC makes a pretty good cleaner for the TB. it should only set you back ~$5/can (you need <1/2 can for TB flush).

while you have the intake apart, you might also want to clean your MAF (you probably don't need to, but it doesn't hurt). CRC makes MAF cleaner that sells ~$5/can also (you only need a few sprays to clean the MAF).

& a big TY to solaraguy for having that info in tutorials for us.
