i cant seem to get my rear rotor lose. i removed the caliper and bracket, i adjusted the little thing that backs off the parking brake or whatever, hit it with a piece of wood and it still wont come off. what am i doing wrong? thanks.

use the threaded holes on the rotor to pop the rotor off using a bolt

i think it's a M8 bolt......? maybe M6


or use more elbow grease to get that sucka off.

ya.. i had the same issue... took me 1h hour for each side. Becasue of the parking brakes, there sometimes a litle lip that forms around the shoes, on the inner of the disc drums... this thing get stuck with the shoes and is very hard to get off...

if you're able to gigle the discs, then no need to keep hammering them...

Just do what everyone said.
Don't wait to scare you but when i was changin' my OEM rear rotors to my DBA rotors, one of the rear e-brakes let loose and locked my rotor on, so i had to release the spring tension to get the rotor off.
2000 Solara SE auto V6. Diamond White Pearl.
Top Speed Run finished at 130 mph. :o
Too many modifcations for the signature.

if I remember correctly, the bottom bolt of the caliper actually fits in that hole perfectly...
