Sluggish after warmed up

Sluggish after warmed up

Heres the problem.. When I first start the car up, it works AWESOME lots of power. After the car warms up it works horrible, significant power loss. And acceleration is not smooth. Is there anything I should check/clean, I don't really know where to start. I cleaned the air filter, Im thinking about replacing the fuel filter next, then plugs. Is there anything else I can clean out? It also doesn't get as good of mileage as it did. used to get about 700km to a tank now I get about 560km

When did you last change plugs and wires?

I never have changed it. I'm going to check the wires, but I defiantly plan of changing the plugs in the near future. I just was wondering if there is anything else I can clean out or check to help.

Even still... I cant see the plugs making a huge difference... It works really really good when I first start it (so good that I almost got a speeding ticket today:lol: ) untill the temp gauge gets up closer to normal.

Thats strange. It seems the problem you're experiencing is quite the opposite with me. My car is SLUGISH as hell when cold, But when she warms up... WHOA!... Lots of power. :)

Took it out tonight and came onto it untill it was warm, matter of minute as its pretty warm out anwyay. Car works great pulls REALLY hard all the way up to full speed, no issues there. Makes me VERY proud to own it haha. As soon as the temp gauge got to half way i could actually feel the difference immediately. When I try to accelerate, the car is sluggish and doesnt accelerate very quick, it also sometimes surges. It feels like its not accelerating smoothly. Even if I downshift and do it, it still seems to do it at whatever rpm range im in. Any ideas anyone?
