Help cruise control not working

ever since i bough the car last year, never drive long distance until last weekend. and decided to try out the cruise control. so i click it n the light come on, pull down to set/coast at around 70mph. though it will stick to it, but as soon as i let go the gas pedal the mph drop too. so i try messing around with it but no luck. any1 know whats going on with it? thanks i have a 2002 v6 SLE

i just had this problem come up too.

for me, i am able to turn on the button, but when i try to activate cruise mode, the cruise light just blinks at me (as my car decelerates itself). no mods have been done between having cruise control, and then losing it.

i'm guessing it's a fuse, but i haven't had the time to go out and check the fuses on it. but i'll be checking here if it's something more than a fuse....

i dont even know. the cruise control light turned on, but wouldnt activate when i pull down to set/coast.

whats up everyone. I tried search but the issue is still to be resolved. Anyone figure out why their cruise control isn't working (if it isn't)? I read about a blinking cruise control light but I don't get any of that. Mine turns on but the cc won't engage. thanks

I have heard that if the break lights arent working properly the cruise wont ingauge never had a problem though i came across that info when converting to led

If ur Cruise light blinkin i think u better check.

Guys we're the same lol, i couldnt engage the Cruise when 1st time tried but then i was keep on tryin so i figured it out how it works.

1, Push the buttion to activate cruise, you'll see the green light near the RPM/1000 "Cruise Control"

2, Make sure O/D on when you set coast, gas the speed you want it to be, HOLD The set coast for couple seconds, u'll feel it when it ENGAGEMENT, same as when you turn O/D On,,,

I dont know why its like this, the Camry is easier, 2nd time i tried and i the click click the Set Coast many time lol, probably somethin sticky cause we hardly use Cruise.

turn od on, hold down a sec or 2, then push it up for a sec or 2 and away u should go......................

lol, i know how to USE cruise control, it's been used before.

i just don't know why it stopped working... BlKSo|aRa, you figure anything out yet?
