i used 235 45 series winter tires. they bulged a little bit, but no rubbing or uneven wear.

It will fit bro, P225 is the max size recommended for Solara 99-01 and rim 16 is just small so it will Fit.

Ill probably try P235/45/18 or P225/45/18 i dont know which one is best and comfort. Ive seen those pro in other topic, most of them uses P225/40/18 though.

If you want to stay as close to stock circumference as possible, go with a 225/55R16. On a side note, I noticed that a 235/45R17 is close to stock circumference as possible for a 17'' wheel. Would that fit on a 4th gen camry running a 17x7.5 wheel with +35 offset?

I use for my gen 4 Camry (i think it is the same) 225/40R18
I think 45R18 would also be okay.

When i have to buy new rims i would go for 17 inch, because every big bump in the road could kill the rim.
