My plastic cover on my motor is all messed up and I was thinking of looking for one of these http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_imag ... _large.jpg its off a rx300 with a 1mz in it. here is the picture with it off http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_imag ... _large.jpg

Will it fit? Has anyone swapped there covers?

If thats the EXACT cover you are buying, then no, it wont fit. That is the cover off a 1mz WITH vvti.Solaras never had this option, only siennas and a few lexus's had that motor, On that cover the two mounting screws are on the front closer to the edge. On the non VVT-i 1MZ (what you have) the screws are on the back.

I dont follow the bit about it being on the back.. the screws are really close to the front on mine.

AH thats what I was looking for a picture of!!!!!! Whats that off of? A es300?

So it screws into different points on the motor.

97/98 ES300. You can take the L emblem off and replace it with something else.

jstarone, I think the engine cover is like $80 new at the dealer.
