My "new" 1999 Solara. 1st car ever!

So I just purchased myself a 1999 black v6 Solara se. I first saw it on craigslist, and ive never really known much about Solaras so I did some internet researching and found out its a slick 2 door Camry! That's exactly what I wanted! A car with the reliability of a Camry and some cool looks and supposed "sportyness". So I bought it for 5000. I don't know if I got ripped off but I needed a car and I would be the only person I knew who had one so I was down.

It has 107,000 miles on it. A great tint job on the back windows with a lifetime warranty, so if it bubbles, I just have to take it in. Thats neat. He also had those keyless entry things installed with an alarm BUT the remote lock and unlock isn't working but that's included in the lifetime warranty at the same place that did the tint so I called them and they said it they will fix it so im ok.

It aslo has 2 upgraded head speakers in the back, still covered up by the factory molding I think. No big crazy speakers or subwoofers sticking out of nowhere. It has a nice Kenwood head unit, with a remote control too...Which i dont know if ill ever use, just to hand to people in the back of the car maybe.

I think the cars wheels need to be re aligned, as the steering wheel isnt straight when I am going straight... And the front right tire is much more damaged than the others...its so bad actually that you can see a stripe of white in the middle....I think its because the car is riding imbalanced or something im not sure.

Other than that the car is fun. Its so comfy inside and dirves easy.

I was thinking about it. If i was it would be some kind of air intake and an exhaust system. I don't think I want too much. It's just a lil too quiet for my tastes. I swear I can't even hear it when its idle and I know that v6 can purrr if it doesnt have all the stock restrictions.

Welcome and congrats. If you only are going to put on exhaust or an intake.... it wont stop there. Once you put one thing one you will continue, its an addiction. Anyway sounds like you got a pretty reasonable price and some goodies too. Enjoy the car
