DO IT! Lol. The stopping power is amazing compared to stock. I didn't rebuild mine, I just bought brand new calipers for a 96 Camry V6 w/ ABS. Either way.....Great upgrade.

Are the pads different? Will I have to get a set of 3g pads to fit the caliper?

you'll need the gen3 caliper brackets as well

and you will also need the gen3 pads- the real affect that people will feel from the caliper swap is not from the dual-piston setup, but from the approx 30% increase in contact surface between the larger gen3 pads and the rotors

"alltrac92" - You can buy them at AutoZone, O-Reilly's, Advance Auto Parts.

Like what "Eye8Pussies"said.

Overall size the twin piston is bigger.

The caliper upgrade wit the SS brake lines is a great setup.

Like i said the calipers and brackets, that i'm gettin' is a hella of a good deal compared to buyin' it from AutoZone, or Advance Auto Parts.
For almost the price of 1 new twin piston caliper wit bracket, you're gettin' 2 twin piston calipers, brackets, and the rebuild kit [just a guarantee they won't break down or lock up on you].

Rebuilding calipers isn't very hard, but it helps if you have an air compressor. Plus, it's typically cheaper to rebuild a junkyard part and helps you get acquainted with how the brakes work. The worst part is prepping everything for paint. That's whats nice about powdercoating, they strip everything for you.

Yeah i had the teacher at my school have the student push out the pistons for me. lol.
Yeah, i got a hella of a deal on the calipers.
Yeah i had my friend powder coat them for me, it took him almost 2 to 3 weeks, but i was worth the wait.

Hmm......
I can take my stock stuff and have them weight it to see how much it's to ship the calipers.

That's a awesome idea. Where are you located? still have them? Im in eastern canada so it might just be cheaper to go find a 1992-1996 camry with the 1mz in it and pull them lol. Is there anything I will have to change? or is it just a direct swap?
