Alarm Issue

I lost the keys of my car so I got a key cut at Toyota to at least get in the car and get my stuff. I want to disconnect my alarm so that I can drive it to an alarm shop and get a new one put in. How do I disconnect or deactivate my alarm? By the way, the key isnt programmed yet.

if you get passed the point of disabling the alarm, the car won't start since your new key is not programmed.

there should be a toggle by the kick panel to the left of the brake pedal.

You can disconnect the battery.....put the key into the ignition and turn it to the "on" position. Reconnect the battery with it like that.

That stops a lot of alarms from singing. Failing that, you'll have to either cut the siren under the hood, or go under the dash, and find + disconnect the brain.

Very, very interesting. I will try to do that but as far as finding the brain, I hope I'm lucky but to me its simply wires. Does anyone have pictures?

I didnt find the toggle button, which is really weird because they usually have them. At any rate, I managed to disable the alarm but the car wont turn on. It cranks but doesnt start. Toyota was telling me I needed a whole new computer and 3 keys to get programmed for a total of about 1$1200-$1500, its absolutely insane. Any solutions?

they're just shooting you BS. I highly doubt you need a new computer.

All you need to do is program that key you got. I could swear there was a tutorial for that...but maybe I'm thinking another car.
