Tire Pressure Warning Light

Postby cklinh » Fri Apr 17, 2009 2:18 pm

Quick question for all of you. Is the tire pressure warning light the last light to go off on your dash when you start your car? It seems to stay on a good 5 seconds more than the others.

I thought it used to all go off at the same time, but I may be mistaken. Just wondering if it's normal...

I thought the airbag light stayed on the longest. There is one other light that stays on longer than the others but I don't remember which one.

And it freaks me out when it does come on because then I think there is something wrong with the car.. and about once a month I drive to NJ (about 3 hr drive) and I'll be a nervous wreck. But other then this problem I love my Solara... Its a 2004 and I just hit 82,000 miles on it -- hope it lasts for another 82,000.....

What I did was to put a 2X2 picture of my daughter in the console just in front of the sensor light. Problem solved.

Yes, my warning light stays on about 5 seocnds longer then the other lights on my dashboard. I've given up on the problem -- nothing worked. I just keep checking my tire pressure.

Believe me, I have tried that dozens of times. The problem started when I got 2 new front tires. The tire warning light would come and off for no reason and at no set times. I would just be driving and it would come on and then a few second later go off. I have reset it (and yes the light would blink 3 times) and checked my tire pressure, which is absolutely fine.
