I Don't recall, i just know i didn't care because it wasn't my car :P

I had a set for my Hyundai accent from a different vendor, & they lasted much much longer with no signs of rust

Not necessarily. The Ericsol Supra TT brackets use the stock calipers and increase rotor size. All you need too change is the caliper bracket.

be big enough to fill the space in between an 18 in rim

Right - now I understand: bigger brakes are to make the wheels look better.

And you wonder why people laugh at you...

That's basically the only reason I had mine  Big brake kits dont really do jack on the street, they are for dissipating heat and preventing fade on the track. All they do on the street is drop panties, which some could argue is just as useful... :drinking:

I understand what Damon is saying, and I agree with him. Unless King, Gino, and Gave race their cars weekly on a professional/amateur circuit, having 300+ horsepower isn't enough to justify having bigger brakes.

BUT they DO look pretty damn good, there's no denying that.

They dont have big brake kits. I am talking TRUE big brake kits, not CNC brackets with stock calipers.

SCC did a test of different big brake kits a couple years back and some of the stopping distances were LONGER than stock brakes. However, big brake kits could take lap after lap on the track with NO fade, where as stock brakes began to fade on the second lap.

I'm not saying you will not feel an increase in stopping with a BBK, but most likely it is in your head. If you can lock your tires up with stock brakes, you don't need more braking power- you need tires. You would need big brakes to have a consistent pedal feel with minimal fade for track days.

I'll likely be going to the dragstrip with King on the same day, lol. Plus I need to come down a week or 2 after anyway.

Better read this>>>

Scroll down to the bottom chart:

You can also see how going to ever larger rotors consistently reduced stopping distances

the bbk from Gabe has the tt rotors and the duel piston calipers from the es300.so far these are way better than the stock stuff. next week i'll be at willow springs and am going to put this setup to the test. like track tested.the stock brakes on my 99 camry just sucked.my pickup stoped way better and it has drums on the back.

You should be fine with those on the big track. When I ran the big track, I had Porsche 928 brakes (around 12") on my 944 turbo (4 piston ..two on each side). No problems...of course that car was 50/50 weight dist.
