You DO NOT need to remove the lenses to install HIDs. In fact, it's NOT AT ALL recommended that you even attempt that with the soul purpose of installing HIDs.

You can either remove the entire foglight to install the HID bulb, or you can do as many others have mentioned, and just install the bulb from underneath the car. The bulb is very simple to swap. The hardest part of the job you're attempting is installing/mounting the ballast and wiring that up.

Once again....DO NOT remove the lens for this project. The ONE AND ONLY time you should be removing that lens is if you're doing something crazy like the yellow capsule mod.
